During WWII banners with names and numbers of a concrete fighting department made seldom, as frequently there was a disbandment and rearrangement of military departments. However on regiments banners and higher the name and the number necessarily should be embroidered. On banners of battalions and below more often simply sewed the label with the name and the number of a military department. "

We think that this banner was kept in a reserve and random was in use. After ending of WWII this banner was passed to a museum. In the museum this banner hung on a place of honour. It is pointed by some differ in colour of sides of the banner.

Its a 1960's-1980's "place holder". These were used in museums when the real unit flags were on parade.
