KGB hats?

A well known Pennsylvania seller (using the ukrainan Trident as their symbol) has a "FSB general" duty uniform for sale. Blue piping. They DO however also carry the KGB general parade uniforms that I assume are of the same stock and production as the one Phillip refer to... of which I also have one in my wardrobe - looking good :rolleyes:

I think all of you guy's have a point.

But you seem to stick around on the lining.
This was standard isue for generals during this period.
There are authentic accepted caps known for honor guard units with the same lining.

I for one would not dismiss any cap on such lining.
It would just make me question more.

The construction is as it should be.
It is at best an un issued cap.

I just dont know why it would be a fake or why it would be reall.

Normally the fakes have non or of very bad quality lettering on the diamond.
this cap has a high standard comparable to a 70's general cap.

Here are a couple authentic ones I have...The Zhukov is dated 1956 and the M58 is dated 1963. I was just lucky to get them.

That is a good question many of us have wanted answered definitively for a number of years, but I don't recall him ever answering anyone on the forum with full discloser, and I've never gotten a complete answer, so if anyone does hear back. please let us know. We will be very grateful.

Most stuff is either Soviet era surplus or Ukraine made reproductions. They only reply to emails occasionally and never with any details, just one-liners.
