During his service in the battalion, comrade Belous was sent to forward positions near Marino, Pristennoye, and Bolshiye Seti with orders to recover combat vehicles, where he displayed bravery, calmness and fortitude. This enabled the vehicles to be put back into service in a timely manner. Between September 25, 1941 and January 20, 1942 comrade Belous repaired 7 T-34s, 5 BT tanks, 2 T-26s, as well as 12 GAZ-AAs, 10 ZIS-5s, and 3 light vehicles.
