26-03-1945 in the region of Krzyżowice under a heavy enemy artillery raid, Comrade Koval'kov deciphered very intricate tapes with recordings, as a result of that there was detected 7 enemy artillery batteries.
When checking the terrain the discrepancy with topographic coordinates did not exceed 15-20 Metres.
29-03-1945 in the region of Wilhelmsdorf Comrade Koval'kov under enemy artillery fire eliminated 18 breaks in communications, as a result of that there was detected 3 enemy artillery batteries. Returning to the processing point, deciphered tapes with recordings 3 detected batteries.
When checking the terrain the discrepancy with topographic coordinates did not exceed 20-25 Metres.

His Red Star #1960915 awarded 13th July 1945.

His Medal "For Victory Over Germany In The Great Patriotic War 1941-1945" A#0227974 was awarded by the Commander of the 664th Separate Scout Artillery Section Guards Captain Kur'erov on 4th January 1946 - although it is stamped with the 33rd Brigade stamp.

Also a notice from Minsk on being awarded an OPWII in 1985.
