Here is a recent marketplace acquisition. Hardcover Identification Book, #16543, of Guards Colonel Nikolai Erastovich Timashov, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Transbaikal Military District. He was promoted to Colonel March 15th, 1939.

He entered duty position as Deputy Chief of Staff of the Transbaikal Military District October 10th, 1941. Awards listed Victory over Japan, Order of the Red Banner (long-service), Order of Lenin (long service), 20th Anniversary of the Red Army, and another Order of the Red Banner for actions against Japan. His date of birth is listed, December 31st, 1897, as well as the names of his wife, Galina Nikolaevna Orlovskaya, and the names and birth years of his children, Igor (1931), Irina (1937), & Vera (1944). His Tokarev (TT) pistol serial #2980 is listed.
