Description of personal combat feat or accomplishment

While returning from the Division Observation Post on 29-30.8.44 near Valya-Soleshti with a convoy of vehicles laden with ammunition and foodstuffs in pursuit, led by the Division’s Deputy Chief of Artillery Supply Senior Lieutenant Aleksandrov, the convoy was engaged by a group of approximately 40 German soldiers and officers.

In this engagement, Comrade Senchuro displayed exceptional boldness and personally killed with his submachinegun eight Germans including a major, the chief of staff of the German 834th Infantry Regiment. In the concluding stages of the engagement, the group led by Senior Lieutenant Aleksandrov and Master Sergeant Senchury killed eighteen German soldiers and commanders of the German 834th Infantry regiment including a colonel, major, the chief of staff and took prisoner enemy soldiers. Additionally, the ammunition and foodstuffs were delivered on time. Comrade Senchuro does a good job with his core competencies.

He is deserving of the Order of the Red Banner for his displayed valor.

Thank you, gentlemen, and yes, it was the specificity of the German unit being named in the citation that drew me to this researched piece. I also made note of the fact that Sergeant Senchuro was over forty years old when this action took place. . .

Nice citation. I've also got an OPW2 with a citation mentioning the numbers of several German units (a Panzerjägerabteilung, 2 Panzer Divisions, the SS Division Totenkopf, an Infantry Division, and a Motorized Infantry Regiment).
