Władysław Żelazny KBW NCO, later member of the parliament.
An interesting group of papers bought recently.
This group belonged to Władysław Żelazny, who was an NCO in the Interior Troops (KBW) in 1946-48, worked in the metal industry and was a member of the Parliament - elected in 1976 and re-elected in 1980, where he was a member of Heavy, Machine and Foundry Industry Comission, Foreign Affairs Comission and Industry Comission. One may say that he has a surname adequate for someone related to the Metal industry - Żelazny is an adjective from Iron. He was a member of the PPS (the socialist party) and after it's unification with (or rather - incorporation by) the PPR (Worker Party, the communists) had joined the ranks of newly created PZPR, and he was elected as a member of this party. Unfortunately, lots of his stuff have been sold out to pieces. I even think I had one of his medal docs somewhere but can't find it. |

Re: A various documents of a KBW NCO, later member of the parliament.
A valuation from the KBW. He was a corporal, worked in the gunsmith workshop of the formation, organized mobile gunsmith workshops and was generally valuated very positively, both as a hard-working and skilled specialist and as a politicaly conscius individual.
A recomendation letter from the KBW to a metal industry factory, recommanding him for work there after de-mobilization His PPS membership ID - aparently he indeed had the well-shaped political views that early. |

His schooltime Polish Red Cross membership ID from 1938/1939
His pass/employee's ID of a factory "Zakłady Ostrowieckie" in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. His fotographs from the beggining of his military service. In the third pic, he is the tall one. |

Re: A various documents of a KBW NCO, later member of the parliament.
A three more pics. The one with 3 guys on it probably shows Żelazny's friends from the Unit, as it has a dedication to him. The other two are post-war, and the bands on the cap can be of dark blue color, so they may beKBW soldiers, but the relation of them to this group is unknown.
A school ID of his wife, Lucyna Sałaga (later Żelazna) A photograph of an officer (could be pre-war) signed "For the Sałaga family - Stach <short from Stanisław>" No clue who this guy was. |

Gold "Meritous Activist of the State Defense League" badge, award missing
A peculiar certificate of participation in the course for "Pioneeres of LAbour and Socialist competition organisers" from 1949. Guess that since the concept of socialist competition was new in Poland at that time, they had to make the idea popular among the workers. But organising special courses? |
