Seems a bit too excessive considering the condition. The die breakage is interesting.
I am sort of collecting scans of the Order of Khmelnitsky 3rd class with a die break, hoping that eventually it could lead to some research. Would appreciate scans from fellow members, obverse and reverse please. So far I have authenticated 17 pieces with a die break, and have pictures of many more. Also I have seen a fake piece with a very convincing die break imitation. If anyone has those please post them as well. Here's an example. Alexei |
