Gentlemen,

Could these be real? :weird
The stars should be red enameled, right? As well as the banner on the bottom, below the X, right?

Dolf,

I don't like them. Enamel on original badges was pretty thin in the first place so it will almost always flake and turn to dark brownish color. Also the badge on the left has no patina on the front and dark oily patina on the back. The one on the right has patina, that looks artificial. They made a lot of those copies in the mid 1990s.

My feeling also tells me they don't look right.
The seller claims they were brought from USSR to the US on the 80's and that one (the left one I think) was for officers :weird and the right one for enlisted men!... :thumbsdown

I don't know about officers or Em, but there are variations of this badge. I am aware of silver, silver-plated and brass.
