This feels a bit tragic to ask but ... when will it hit the stores? When can we buy it?

If the 50th, 60th and 65th are anything to go by except them to start flowing out on 10th May (for absolutely outrageous prices) and then be everywhere by this time next year. In 2-5 years these will probably just as unappealing as all the other jubilee awards that are omnipresent. Looking at serial numbers, there are probably going to be more 70th commemoratives out there than participants, let alone surviving participants.

Unfortunately "lucrative" is the word.

Here is a real Belarusian example.

It is a two piece construction (unlike Russian) but unlike the two piece PMR example, this is silver rather than gold in colour.

Unfortunately the Order has not aligned correctly during production, so it looks like the common fakes of Russian examples, but on top of being two piece, the ring is very different. Inspecting the assembly of the Medal, I certainly don't think it would be hard to make an error in the positioning of the second piece and I'd expect a great variation in placement, they won't all be off like this.

The quality and feel of the ribbon is also a great tell that it is Belarusian.

Here is an unissued Document, authorised by the Public Association "Belarusian Union Of Military Sailors" in Minsk. The Union was authorised by the Ministry Of Justice on 4th November 1993. Being landlocked, Veteran sailors will have been in the Soviet Navy. There won't have been too many old boys of the Red Navy for the union to issue these to.

With the 70th Anniversary Medal being the most faked of all to date, there are of course many fake Russian Medals and Documents. Surprisingly there are also Fake Belarusian Documents.

These are printed on flimsy paper, unlike the stiff card authentic examples. These fakes also have a coloured coat of arms and misaligned photo of a real Medal (rather than illustration).
