Nice hat but not "victory parade"; more like 54-55 than 45. The braid didn't go on to the visor of non-naval parade caps until the 50's. Buttons are post 48. Velvet band for armor?

Thank you - you're quite correct. I recognized it as a post-1945 cover but wasn't sure on the M-year so I left it with that title owing to its color. It also has the less pronounced aircraft carrier-sized crown of the later models.

Yes, likely an artillery or tank troops cover.
