Re: Medal "For The Defence Of Stalingrad".

Here is a well worn early Stalingrad on a two piece kolodka. Some battle worn defender has been out with this in all weathers.

Re: Medal "For The Defence Of Stalingrad".

Ogorudnyj was awarded the Medal "For Combat Merits" on 9th June 1945 for his service in 117 transport trains to the front line including 6 air raids.

Incorrect year on the entrance into the army (dated 3 months after the award was awarded).

Re: Medal "For The Defence Of Stalingrad".

Hi All,

Is anyone aware of any genuine Stalingrad medals where the reverse simply has the hammer & sickle, but no writing?

Thanks,

Mark
