Cap Badge?

Hello everyone,

I got this cap badge off of ebay, sometime of ago and I know that it is from Burma but would anyone happen to know anything more about it? I am grateful for any information that anyone could give

Unfortunately I'll need a considerably clearer image of the text to translate.

It looks to be more universal that the cockade here so could be post 1960's reforms.

Hello, Thank you for your reply. I had it on another form and it turns out that the badge is from the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. The cap badge belongs to the Gemunu Watch("King Dutugemunu's Own") Regiment , also known locally as "The Highlanders".
The scroll reads in Sinhala "Maniwatta Abhikkama" the English translation being " Do not tarry, Go forward.
