Does anyone have details of which communist orders & medal were awarded cased? I am trying to collect the cased version of awards but am not sure which ones came in a case originaly.
Thanks Mark |

all Bulgarian awards - even simple medals - were awarded cased. There are different versions of cases, depending on the period. Regards, William |

Hi,
My Bulgarian friend told me that common medals were cased when given to 'important' people otherwise they were in a paper envelope. Perhaps 'common' medals are rare.... if you get my gist. drh |

Hi
This comment is indeed correct presentation cases for the common medals are scarcer than the medals themselves as they were only given cased to people of consequence. Pretty much all of the Orders and Titles were cased and for these pieces the old wood cases with the brass latch are scarcer than the commonly found cardboard cases and later large generic Plastic cases.
