Awarded to Ivan Savelevich Polischuk. A very light complete wartime set to a victim of some really big bureaucratic cock-ups.

Re: Red Star,1587366,Pilot,3rd Sanitary Squadron,97th Separate Aviation Regiment
The exact same citation but handwritten had already been processed as he was awarded a Patriotic War 2nd Class by Order of the 15th Air Army on 12th May 1945. This award seems to have been annulled by the later Prikaz awarding the Red Star.
I have also been completely unable to find any record of the Patriotic War 1st Class - this may never have been processed, never actually been awarded or just plain incorrect. So rather than have a Patriotic War 1st Class, 2nd Class and Red Star he ended up just receiving the Red Star.

This photograph of the recipient certainly shows some issued Patriotic Wars, but no Red Star. I wonder if he did get the PWII retracted before the issue of the Red Star?
