Re: Fake Ushakov Medals
Here's one out of a very large russian medal collection I currently have in my possession. Any thoughts?
Thanks! Mike |

Re: Fake Ushakov Medals
Based on these I don't see any obvious problems. I would like to see a magnified section of the face and the star above it, as well as some magnified sections of the chain.

Re: Fake Ushakov Medals
Mike,
As for as I can tell from the pictures, it looks good. Based on these, I can't tell if the suspension or the chain are genuine. Alexei |

Re: Fake Ushakov Medals
Hello,
any oppinions about this Ushakov medal? Looks good to me. The last digit (1) looks a little bit strange. best regards Andreas |

Re: Fake Ushakov Medals
Andreas,
Your pictures are not really tip-top... I have seen this type of digit on other Ushakov medals. Overall I tend to like it, even though it seems to have had a rather rough life; just make sure that those are genuine signs of wear, and not of a cast medal. Marc |

Re: Fake Ushakov Medals
I agree with Marc - the medallion is most likely genuine, but better pictures are needed.

Not sure if you can help with the medallion - bad light, but maybe someone can say something about the suspension and chain.
Thanks, Sergei Last edited by CtahhR; 02-28-2014 at 07:52 PM. |
