Order "St. Aleksandr Nevski".
The Order "St. Aleksandr Nevski" is a very peculiar award indeed. A renamed Tsarist Order "Saint Aleksandr". The award itself was completely unchanged and probably not even produced after the change in regime of 9th September 1944, yet continued to be awarded.
This A3 document is also confused as it is issued with "Presidium Of The People's Republic Of Bulgaria" but is dated 28th July 1946 which is about 7 weeks before the declaration of the People's Republic. It awards Senior Medical Officer Nikolaj Mihajlov Nejchev the Order in "Sixth Class With Swords In The Centre". It was probably awarded for actions with mobile medical units during the "Patriotic War" on the road to Berlin or treating war wounded in the period after the war in Bulgaria.
