Stuff seen today... Part 3
OK...I have no idea of which military academy from which this badge came from, but this vendor thinks so highly of it, he wanted...a butt load of money that is almost worthy of a "Your mama is so fat..." sort of joke.
The quality of the photos is terrible, but I hope someone out there can translate this for me. Another interesting observation, in case y'all didn't know, the display of the Nazi's swastika is still verboten. So when you want to sell any any of these material, you must cover up the swastika...look at photo #3 and you can see two Nazi decorations covering up with stickers. v/r Dat Nguyen |

Prices...
Good Evening,
Prices tends to be high. Way beyond the range for a new collector in this area of collecting. I asked the price of Order of Labor Glory 2nd cl and he wanted 375 ... EURO's !!! I hate the exchange rate. I did not ask for any other prices due to my high blood pressure problem. I did notice a few "fakes', but this vendor was pointing the fakes out to the potential buyers. Most of his OPW 2nd cl were WWII issues. However, I did pick up a silver academy badge for 25 euros (not the one in the photo), a Military Merit medal # 660,295 for 25 euros, and traded a bayonet with a guy for a 2cl 1939 Iron Cross. v/r Dat |

Translation
Thank you for the link. So this is a Kirov Military Medical Academy badge. I wonder why he wanted so much money for this badge?

Great stuff Dat. Nice to see some goodies out in the fresh air. Too bad the prices had an extra zero (or two).
And thanks for that link Marco. I hadn't seen it before and it's very interesting.

Re: Stuff seen today... Part 1
Thanks for the pics Dat. I find it interesting how these items are displayed, no logical pattern, but that is the usual way I have seen. Thanks for these and if you get to any other sales like this, please take more pics. It is good to see these things out there and available but I wish that I had an unlimited few millions of Euros to spend there. hahaha!

Arrangements...
Greetings,
Somewhere in my pile of 'stuff' are photos and videos of a few flea markets in the 90's. I have to find them for y'all to look at. Just like this guy, stuff was just place on a piece of cloth on the ground or on a table. Prices back then were ok that is till a German catalog by Mr Hurfurt (sp?) came out with prices (???!@@!%@$!) Suddenly, all the vendors seem to have this catalog and wanting the same prices. That catalog and the appearance of fakes in the mid 90's started the trend that we are seeing today in my opinion. v/r Dat |
