Tom,
thanks for the info! Is this information available in Chicago Tribune, Sun Times or a local paper i.e. Reader? Please point in the right direction for future. Thanks, Eric |

Shows
When I am at a show I pick up all the flyers for all the other future shows. There will be a table with all this information.

Thanks Medaldude.
Another good source for folks looking for shows are pubs like Shotgun News and the like. Or, look around the web...there's a lot of sites here and there with mentions of shows all over the world. If you have a local militaria dealer in your general area, you could call and ask them as well. SOme shops will also have flyers posted. I'm not TOO far from Chicago, so I usually make a few shows there each year. M |

New Report...
Today we attended the new show in Hinsdale, IL.
This was the first show I attended! WoW... I do not want to offend anyone but there was 98% NAZI CRAP !!!!! The Russian stuff was there but alot of it was FAKE or Repaired or just didn't seem right... There was a Russian guy selling trinkets and what-not... A$$ hole... People like him make the rest of Russians look BAD! Tom, Eric and I had lunch afterwards! It's nice putting a face to a board name! Overall an interesting experience! Rusty. |

"Chicago" chapter - report
Hello Everyone,
Just to add to Rusty's report... Yeah, there was a ton of Nazi stuff, and you will have to excuse mine and Rusty's aversion to the "trophies"... Childhood propaganda really works... Anyway, this was a good experience for me, because we had 4 (four!) members of this forum get together and interact (Mr. Makov25 joined us as well) As Rusty mentioned, there was one dealer who was exclusively Soviet, but he had mostly non Medal/Order items (pins, badges, uniforms, hats, helmets, shoulder boards, etc.) Of the Medal/Order variety, he had virtually nothing (!!!) that was worth looking at. From all other dealers who had any Soviet stuff there were only 2 - 3 items worth looking at... Other than the virtually no Soviet Medals/Orders, everything was great! Thanks, Eric |
