Fatherland Liberation Commemorative Medal.

Here is the Fatherland Liberation Commemorative Medal (조국해방기녕메달). Type 1 is constructed from plated copper and Type 2 is constructed from plated aluminium. The design features a triumphant liberator sounding a horn.

This is a Type 2. I have an additional 11 of this type in my collection and have not yet noticed any variation.

Re: Commemorative Medal "Fatherland Liberation".

Here is the Type 1 made from plated copper. It is not at first obvious by looking that it is different but the suspension has a different pin. Once "in hand" it is very noticeable by its weight.
