Badge "25 Years Of The KGB Academy 1952-1977".

I know this badge/medal has been discussed before, but I do not remember the conclusion reached or even a general consensus as to which security organization celebrated their 25th anniversary in 1977. Since I cannot locate the thread where it was discussed under those in "Internal Affairs and Security Services" I am hoping someone knows what/who it is for (and hope beyond hope that someone knows where the old thread on it is:)).

Any help would be appreciated.

It has the MMD circular mint mark, but not much other info than the years 1952-1977. The KGB didn't get its name until 1953, but the sword and shield motif was used by many security branches long before that.

According to Igor M. at our famous New Jersey website: 25th Anniversary of the Order of the Red Banner Dzerzhinsky KGB Academy (VKSh). a commemorative badge. VKSh was a top secret Higher education establishment and law school exclusively for KGB operatives. Sill operating, but now under the name of Academy of FSB of Russia. Issued in anniversary year to faculty and best students.
