Comrade Arakeljan was a participant in the battles for the liberation of the Donbass, Ukraine and Poland - receiving one heavy wound.
For the time of battle in the region of Dial-Pust /Hungary/ from 4th to 10th November 1944 - Comrade Arakeljan worked as a senior telephonist despite heavy enemy artillery-mortar fire always in a timely manner repairing breaks in telephone communications and thereby giving the opportunity to the command of the battery to maintain continuous fire with the exact data of the location of enemy fire points and reflect counter-attacks by enemy infantry.

For showing bravery and courage in combat to repair telephone communications between fire points and the command of the battery.
