A 22nd March 1949 dated permit for military quarters. It incorrectly states his rank as Senior-Lieutenant.
The reverse is stamped by Batumi City Department Militia.

Re: Shalva Alekseevich Lobzhanidze, Artillery Officer/Auto-Transport Engineer.
It seems that whilst service as an Officer he was also attending university (which may have something to do with the promotion). He did "good" across the board on this 15th June 1949 dated Certificate.

Re: Shalva Alekseevich Lobzhanidze, Artillery Officer/Auto-Transport Engineer.
Back into the classroom 1st September 1951 to 10th March 1952.
For some reason his image has been defaced.

Another promotion - Artillery Major Lobzhanidze (Finally wearing his Medals correctly).
I believe the group photograph is of the Adjar ASSR Regional Military Committee.

Re: Shalva Alekseevich Lobzhanidze, Artillery Officer/Auto-Transport Engineer.
This 7th February 1953 dated "receipt" from the Suhumi Military Sanatorium Laboratory is an example of what Lobzhanidze had to get very used to as his health failed him throughout the rest of his work life.
This personal report also lists three more "commendations". One for 31 years of the revolution, one for 36 years of the revolution and a 150 ruble prize for his labour exploits of 1948. All awarded by the Adjar ASSR.

Re: Shalva Alekseevich Lobzhanidze, Artillery Officer/Auto-Transport Engineer.
A new promotion and position makes for a new portrait.
Now not only are his Medals back-to-front and on the wrong side but his screwbacks are also on the wrong side of his chest.
