Identify the cap?

What cap is this fellow wearing? Looks like a modern russian cap, but I am not sure. Any ideas? I was asked to find a such one, but I don't have a real clue what it is. Reminds me of one of those academy uniform caps though, but the cocarde looks like present day Russia.

Don't mind the guy, it is some drunk swede.

Heh. I've been that weird drunk guy in a cap a few times. Then again, I live in a big drinking town.

It looks like a normal militia cap from 1970 to 1991 (including the cockade, though I can't get a close-up look), however, the piping is white--very odd. Academy caps had white piping, however, they were a slightly different shape, and had an army-style cockade.

It's possible that it's a post-1991 militia, maybe transitional time, and the red piping was replaced in favor of white piping along the crown. Or, on the other hand, it might be a large academy cap that has a different cockade (a militia cockade for example).

(Friend of mine, Becca, in one of my caps from a party last May 1st. Included purely for laughs :chuckle )

I am pretty sure its not navy ( what navy cap has a red cap band?); looks like maybe Russian Militia/Police?-dd

I hawe mistaek,cap is for cadets ho stading in SuvorovS army Colledj(училище) in St Peterburg and for СШ-speshial army scools in anather towns of Russia
In picture is soviet(1969-1991)

the hat could be Suvorov school ( would fit in with the age of the people in the photos).

As for the guy in the first pic, I am sure he would gladly trade the cap for a petit bottle of vodka when he is drunk enough. Perhaps not fair trade, but what wouldn't one do for the sake of a complete collection. :D
