Molder,

As long as the Red Banner has perfect eamel I would say in the neighborhood of $600.

Molder,

I would also say about $600, though with recent price increases the seller may ask as much as $700-750.

Molder,

Even though there are several chips on the Red Banner and what looks like a small one under the horse shoe on the Red Star I would say that in todays market this would make a great group around $600.

I would be interested to see the research on this group to see what this person did to be awarded such low numbered awards.

What is the asking price?

Rusty.

Molder and Rusty,

Red Star was awarded for the military actions during defense of Odessa, the decree is dated October 1941.

Awesome early group!

The recipient - Isaak Abramovich Haimovich - was Politruk (political officer) when he was awarded Red Star.

The citation states his unit belonged to BBC (V V S in Russian) - I am curious if BBC stands for some sort of Aviation formation. Any opinions?

William

William,

The citation is hard to read, but VVS stands for Airforce.

Molder, great group!
