Lenin Awarding banner

I obtained this banner from a Ukraine seller for 160$ including shipping after rebate. The shipping cost is 22$. So I guess it would be sold for about 125$ in Ukraine? Is that a fair price?

Do you know what's the material of this banner? It has a small hole (not noticeable on one side). Besides, it's quite heavy, richly embroidered (handmade?)

It shows text 1973 socialist competition winner on it, does this mean it was made in 1973?

It's a civilian award banner, so I don't think it will worth much. However it looks it's very well made. Does it take much time to make such a flag?

re: Lenin Awarding banner

These civilian award banners are pretty common, but attractive and usually well made. The heavy velvet style, like the one you posted, from the 1970's are great for display even if they will never be worth much money. Yours, from 1973, is a great example. Not all are dated, some simply have generalized awarding slogans on them; those with specific awarding dates / information are rarer.

I think the price you paid is fair, enjoy the banner.
