Roman Grzywnowicz, Journalist
Normally, I would put this tiny "group" in Military IDs, but this one will probably develop and it is connected to Włodzimierz Janiurek's group.
First thing is his Military ID from 1949, issued by the RKU in Kielce. Apparently Roman Grzywnowicz, son of Jacenty was born on August 8th 1911 in Częstochowa, didn't serve in the army and was qualified for auxiliary military service with speciality number 131 - Fit for service, not trained and a rank of private. He lived in Kielce and was the"head of the party department" (probably in a newspaper) and the only education listed is the journalist course in Warsaw in 1949. Record stamps show that in 1951 he apparently moved to Sosnowiec. Even though he was first called formilitary medical examination in 1932 and was fit for service, he never served. It may indicate some higher education that is not mentionned. |

Re: Roman Grzywnowicz, Journalist
Next item is 1955-dated contract by which he has taken the post of the chief of the Agriculture Department in the "Trybuna Robotnicza" (Workers' Tribune) newspaper in Stalinogród (This was the official name of the city of Katowice from 1953 to 1956) with salary of 1150 zł and his duties described as:
"Organising the work of the department, creating the work plan and control of it's fulfilment, instructing the workers, adjusting the material, cooperation in securing effectiveness of the kritical materials delivered by the department (?), assuring the cotntact of the workers of the department with the department ofletters and corespondents, responsibility for discipline, of work in the department as well as constant increase of ideological and proffessional level of the workers of the depoartment, maintaining the constant contact with the proper department of the KW PZPR, organising the non-employed activists for colaboration with the department, co-work in the shaping of the image of the whole newspaper, as for the writing obligation: 3 articles (reportages), 4 problem information, 1 letter to cover from the agriculture ministery and ocasional leading of the corespondents' briefing." The contract was signed by Grzywnowicz, chief of the publishing company (Stalinogród Delegature of the RSW "PRASA") and by the chief editor of the newspaper - Włodzimierz Janiurek. This documents came from the same source as some of documents from Janiurek's group. Not sure if this is just a coincidence that is an effect of Geography or were some of those items in the archive of thenewspaper (I have some photographs from it somewhere). |

Re: Roman Grzywnowicz, Journalist
Also, with the documents came a printed Polish version of Brezhnev's speech for the wellcome of the Polish State/Party Delegation of 9th November 1976 with some notes on the margins. Hard to say for sure, as the only handwriting specimens I have are 2 signatures, but it seems to be Grzywnowicz's notes.
