A few years ago I purchased these two. I was surprised that they were consecutively numbered. Did they both find their way to the seller by coincidence or were they awarded to the same recipient? The numbers are 3344 and 3345. How I wish we could research these...

The Mongolian name for this award is "Хамгийн Сайн Малчны" which they translate to "Лучших Скотовод" on official Russian language documents.

This one is the (somewhat scarce) transitional piece back to Mongolian production after the Soviet-made Herder badges.. It's silver, and massive! Unfortunately the original Ulan Bator screwplate is missing, but this replacement is a perfect fit.
