Here is Reserve Senior Lieutenant Professor Dimit'r Vasilev Kinov's group. A professor at the Bulgarian Academy Of Science.

His group consists of;

1973-05-18 Badge ''For Excellence In The Bulgarian Academy Of Sciences''
1975 Medal ''30th Anniversary Of Victory Over Fascist Germany'' #390003
1977-05-23 Order ''Kiril And Methodij'' 2nd Class
1984-09-09 Order ''Kiril And Methodij'' 1st Class
and two 1984 dated documents including notification of the awarding of the Order ''Kiril And Methodij'' 1st Class as a 60th birthday present.

Kinov's only military award was a Medal "30th Anniversary Of Victory Over Germany". Kinov probably was awarded this for participation in celebrating Victory Day in Sofia.

Noticing the posting dates, did you have this document before and just got around to posting it? Or was it fortuitously reunited?

This has been with the set all along but due to its large size has to be stored separately. Since I brought my A3 scanner out of retirement I've been scanning in all the larger documents to share which are rarely seen.

A few more large Bulgarian items to come and plenty non-Bulgarian.

The Bulgarian Academy Of Sciences items can be very obscure but interest is extremely limited. I believe this group was $29 in total. The professor may well be able to be researched by contacting his former academic institutions. A small group yet to be presented was awarded to a prolific non-fiction author who was credited to various books and can be researched through a simple google search. This simple form of research can be very helpful when researching academics rather than military personnel.

That would be an interesting group to see! Do you have copies of his books as well?

I tried searching my medical professor (http://soviet-awards.com/forum/sovie...avrakirov.html) on google. The only hit was a book on facial surgery techniques from 1998. I'm not sure whether to call that a match or a coincidence. I guess I can find out for sure if I'm ever able to get to the Varna public library or the military medical academy itself.

I don't yet have any of the books but he was prolific. Curiosity may get the better of me one day if the price is right.
