Senior Red Sailor Rabchun. P. P. actively participated in the Patriotic War from the first day of its beginning.
Being on Danube Repair Ship #10 participating in battle for the Danube to Nikolaev and then for Novorossijsk Comrade Rjabchun repeatedly showing courage and valour whilst salvaging the workshop and only after being wounded in August 1942 left the ship.
From 5th January to 25th February 1943 was in the staff of the 81st Brigade Of Naval Infantry in the 2nd Battalion in the position of submachinegunner participating in battle for the defence of the Caucasus and especially distinct Comrade Rjabchun in battle for the outskirts of Gaponovo. Krasnodar Kraj, where a group of 3 people destroyed 13 enemy soldiers and reflected two enemy attacks, whilst in battle was wounded a second time.
From 25th September to 29th September 1943 Comrade Rabchun participated in the delivery of ammunition to Malaja Zemlja in the region of Myshako when on 29th September in battle was wounded for the third time.
For the time positioned in the 810th Separate Engineer Company Comrade Rabchun has shown himself to be the best fighter of the company. Whilst performing combat tasks exceeds rate performing at 200%, there by completing early challenging tasks.
For active participation in battle again German-Fascist Invaders and active participation in performing the tasks of the command Comrade Rabchun is worthy of the Governmental Award Medal "For Combat Merits"

DM-10 was the only floating workshop in the entire original Danube Flotilla of the Red Navy. The Danube Flotilla was created on 24th February 1941 (The Red Navy's 23rd anniversary) and evacuated the Danube on the 18th-19th July 1941 and was disbanded on 21st November 1941. It would seem he had a very lucky escape.....
