An Academy Badge Mint Error

I thought I'd share this one with you. Here's a very high quality five-piece construction badge to commemorate 150th anniversary of Dzerzhinsky VIA, made by Moscow mint in 1970. Order of Suvorov is upsidedown :)

Has anyone seen a "normal" variation of this badge?

Badge "150 Years Of Dzerzhinsky Military Artillery Institute".

From what I remember, this little fellow is a graduation badge for the Dzerzhinsky Military Artillery Institute and the school's 150th anniversary (please feel free to correct me or share more knowledge on this academy/institute).

I wanted to post it by itself because of the unusual nature of the composition. There are a total of 8 rivets holding several pieces onto the badge instead of simply being glued. Moreover, not only is the MMD mintmark on the reverse raised, but so are the dates - 1820-1970.

This isn't my normal kind of badge to collect, but seeing it for $8 instead of $80, I could not resist picking it up, despite the large crack in the enamel. I am also very impressed with the level of detail in the OL and Suvorov (though the flash hides the latter) when you think of how tiny they are - so small that I cannot think of anything to compare their size to.

I've seen other academy/institute badges with orders attached to them as is the case here, but never with rivets, only glue.
