Memoires of Zinkov residents - participants of the GPW
A book bought some years ago, probably made by local youth in just one copy in 1990.
It contains the short memoires of the residents of the village of Zinkov (or Zinkiv in Ukrainian) in Ukraine who took part in the Great Patriotic War. There are also photographs of some of the veterans. What's interesting is that it was written in Ukrainian even though they couldn't find a typewriter with Ukrainian alphabet, so it's written on Russian one, with use of "!" "''" and other to substitute for the the missing letters. |
