This was a New Years gift. It's the shoulderboards, Collar Tabs & the Branch insignia of Frontier troops/Border Guard.

Looking nice! Seems like metal letters on the shoulderboards?

Nice gift Mike! I would love to get virtually any militaria for Christmas instead of the usual socks, il-fitting shirts and fruit cake!!

Also I just finally am catching up on me reading and just saw your great article on the Red Star (in a recent OMSA journal). Heck I did not even know it was posted on the this site and that is sad since I hit this site everyday and I should know it inside and out. Anyway great great article. Very well done indeed. Almost makes me want to collect medals again!

Yeah....I'm more familiar with the 80s set for the Border Guard, in which the letters are not pressed metal. The green felt also looks a bit different.

Very nice set though.
