During the period of harassment of the enemy, all the time was following the operational group, uninterruptedly provided radio-communications with advancing units. All combat orders were transmitted accurately and timely without a single distortion. Within the allotted time provided the operational group with information on units, therefore making it possible to continuously direct troops.

27th July 1944 whilst moving to a new command point in the region of Klescheli the road was under enemy artillery and mortar fire. Travel was about impossible. Making his way with the radiostation, provided communication with links and information of the second position to the corps staff.

For uninterruptedly providing radio-communication during the period of harassment of the enemy and showing himself to be brave and courageous present Junior Sergeant Igumnov, I. A. for the Governmental award Medal "For Bravery".
