Hi Dat,
It's pretty difficult to make an informed judgement with such small scans. If you can post larger/more detailed scans, that would help. Marc |

Red Banner #6 - ultra rare award
Get ready for the thrill:
A well-known Russian dealer from NJ just listed Red Banner #6 for sale for just $12,900!!! This is extremely rare award (serial number 20' mintage around 50 speciments), very few are known to exist in collectors hands. This baby is even rarer than most of 1st class Polkovodzi awards!! Here's seller description: "Order of the Red Banner 6th award, #20, circa late 1940s - 1950s. Silver gilt, enamels. Near mint condition. Comes with McDaniel authentication certificate with extraordinary, 9.5 out of 10 condition rating. Comes with brass suspension and recent ribbon. A true rarity among Soviet decorations: only approximately 50 of "Number Six" Red Banners are known to have been produced by the Mint. $12,900.00 " Best regards, Wiliam |

Red Banner
Just sharing a couple of pics of a nice Red Banner.
Some damage on enamel, but otherwise in good condition. And the remaining enamel is as far as I can tell 100% original, no restores. Dolf Last edited by Dolf; 04-14-2005 at 07:56 PM. |

It looks like a Dove Tail variation. This was a transitional piece between the screwbacks and suspension types.
Can we see better pics of the reverse and the actual ring on the back? I'm still looking for an example for my type set... Rusty.

Nevermind.
It looks like a regular RB with an early S/N for suspended RB's. Other than the black crud I don't see anything wrong with it. Rusty.

is that normal! because the type has a fairly high serial number range and this is low enough! but so long as nothing has been messed with then its all good! ;) thanks again! :)
