Nevertheless a lot of work... grinding the old and re-stamping a serial number that looks that strange... could have been done much easier.

I do not agree. The red star enamel on top has been replaced and it shows significant traces of wear and polish but I think it's authentic.

Hi USSR,

but take a look at the reverse; especially the inner circle. At one point it is there, at another point just half of it and then it vanishes completely - how could that be, if not due to a bad cast craftmanship!?

The enamel looks bad either - as if it was badly done or heated heavily some time later. And the patina looks oily and chemical to!?

I agree it's an ugly son of a *bleep* but I really think it's ok. I'm pretty sure the missing parts of the inner circle are due to wear. Is it yours?

No,

I just learned that the documented group it is coming with is complete bogus due to archival research.

So I will not but it for any reason.

Just because a group is bogus, it doesn't necessarily mean all
Items are fake. I see it so often that high end groups consist of a authentic Red Star, Glory or OPW2 but the Nevsky, Bogdan or screwback Red Banner is fake.

I do believe that it is good, but the OG-3 was awarded to an infantryman, whereas the fake group pretended him being a pilot. Therefore I did not buy.
