Re: Osoaviakhim Ready for Anti Aircraft defence badge
It´s a nive looking badge with great design. At least there are 8 different variations of the badge.

Thanks Andreas, I did not know that.
Cheers, Ade.

Nice one Ade! Looks to be complete, and with a mirror reverse ya just can't go wrong. :)

Here is another one I have just picked up. Sadly it lacks the chain and aircraft/screwback, but I could not turn it down at £5.
As you can see, it is a variation from my other one. Cheers, Ade.

Re: Osoaviakhim Ready for Anti Aircraft defence badge
Do I see remnants of the obverse enamel on the reverse?

Re: Osoaviakhim Ready for Anti Aircraft defence badge
Hi Eric, yes there is a couple of spots. Not holes in the badge going through, just some squats, possibly picked up off the work bench.
Cheers, Ade.

Re: Osoaviakhim Ready for Anti Aircraft defence badge
Finally got mine in the mail today. A nice old badge, sadly imcomplete. :(
I also got a miniature of this general design as well. Someone, for some unexplicable reason has glued the screwplate to the post and reverse with some thick epoxy-like susbstance. I've got it soaking in acetone right now and making slow headway in removing the gunk.

Re: Small badges
And here's a really small OSOAVIAKHIM badge from 1940. 15mm by 18mm. I don't think there are any badges smaller than this little fella. :)
I can't get the screwplate off the post. What's the maker mark on the plate please?
