My collection in Kyrgyzstan

Hi guys !

I am Japanese who is working Bishkek Kyrgyzstan.

Of course, Kyrgyzstan is part of the former Soviet Union.
Thus, I can easily obtain uniform of the Soviet Union in Kyrgyzstan.

But,Collector markets is not developed like a Russia etc.
So, I 'm buying the collection Bazaar and newspaper ads, Voentorg etc....

My current problem is how to take collections to home at japan.

Re: My collection in Kyrgyzstan

Those are some very nice sets, great finds! Have you checked the export regulations for bringing out "cultural value"? I do not know what regulations Kyrgyzstan have in regard to Soviet items, if like Russia or more relaxed like the Baltic states? Hopefully some of our great forum members can help :)

Re: My collection in Kyrgyzstan

Get a Visa, Drive them over the border to China whilst with all the items. If any Kyrgyz customs have a problem throw money at them and then find the first post office in China and post it home. Looks like a bit much to hide in a suitcase or hand luggage. Buying in bulk is always a logistical nightmare. I once flew somewhere without even a bag but on my return I had 4 suitcases full and I still had to leave some things behind.

When you return to Japan, if you go to Osaka you can find militaria at a store located at Shinsaibashi. It was one of my favorite places when I was there back in the days and got some very nice stuff.
