Lobzhanidze, Shalva Alekseevich, Colonel, Artillery Officer/Auto-Transport Engineer
Here is an exceptionally informative group to 1912 born Shalva Alekssevich Lobzhanidze/Shalva Aleksis-dze Lobzhanidze (Шалва Алексеевич Лобжанидзе/შალვა ალექსის-ძე ლობჟანიძე). The group is so extensive it provides information on Lobzhanidze, inside and out as well as encompassing some items from family members.
The group covers seven decades (1930's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's) from the Transcaucasian Socialist Federative Soviet Republic to Republic Of Georgia and even though it offers an almost comprehensive profile of a Soviet life of service it is not "complete". We start the journey with an undated photograph of the three Lobzhanidze brothers and a group photograph of Shalva's wife Babutsa Darisianovna Bulejshvili as part of her Sports group.

Included in the group is this pair of photographs who I believe is Shalva's brother-in-law.
Not many places other than the Adjar ASSR that you will find Soviet service personnel photographed with palm trees.

Shalva's 1st November 1936 dated Georgian language Labour book has seen far better days. All of the entries are in handwritten Georgian making them quite difficult to translate. Fortunately all of this information was re-written in (typed) Russian in other record books.

His 17th March 1938 dated passport lists his birthplace as Oni Region (North Central Georgia) so is not a native Adjarian. His residence is given as Batumi (capital of the Adjar ASSR) and there are some very interesting and obscure departmental NKVD stamps of the Adjar and Abkhaz ASSRs (due to his travels to Sukhumi, capital of the Abkhaz ASSR). A well worn 5 year passport.

Re: Shalva Alekseevich Lobzhanidze, Artillery Officer/Auto-Transport Engineer.
Here is a 1938-39 dated photograph of the Regional Committee Of State Trade showing Shalva as president.
The identification is from when he was positioned Acting Secretary Republic Committee Union Of State Trade Georgian SSR. It is identification for Georgian SSR Georgian Trade Workers' Trade Union Republic Committee (მოწმობა საქართველოს სსრ სახვაჭრობის მუშაკთა პროფკავშირის რესპუბლიკური კომიტეტი) and lists his position as "Plenum Member" (პლენუმის წევრი)

Re: Shalva Alekseevich Lobzhanidze, Artillery Officer/Auto-Transport Engineer.
An undated photograph of a trio of enlisted men. I think the man on the right is Shalva's brother.
Jubilee Medal ''XXX Years Of The Soviet Army And Navy'' dated 31st July 1948 awarded by Military Commissariat Of The Adjar ASSR and signed by Lieutenant Colonel Vasadze. Shalva was positioned as an Officer of the 1st Detachment.

Re: Shalva Alekseevich Lobzhanidze, Artillery Officer/Auto-Transport Engineer.
Here is Babutsa Darisianovna Bulejshvili's identification for the Ministry Of Agriculture Adjar ASSR where she was an accountant. Although they were married in 1938 Bulejshvili continued to use her maiden name.
Lobzhanidze was promoted to Captain on 18th February 1949.
