I just discover with pleasure and interest that some of the fellows friends from the forum have been in Baikonur for participating to Launch Operations.
Maybe we have been working together, since I did 4 launch campaigns of EU satellites from the Cosmodrome since my first visit to the sire on March 2001. The first launch was with Proton, all others with Soyuz. In the picture we are smiling to the camera from the Rosaviacosmos's pad the day of rocket erection. You will easily recognize myself in the picture: I wear a red jacket. The second picture shows the Soyuz Pad at site 36, with rocket ready about at L-3 days. I took this picture during a break in the 12-hours long countdown rehearsal. |

Nice pics.  Unfortunately I doubt we ever met or work together in Baikonur, as the Proton launch of April was my first launch, and I was invited there as a guest.
