I wanted to start some research about soviet parade daggers (Land-, Navy- and Air-Force dagger only)

In most cases on one side of the blade is the producer (ИМЗ, ZIK and Bulat) and the year of the production (1945 - 1991)

On the other side is a number. Is the number related to the dagger produced in this year or in total ? And is there a correlation between the numbers of the three daggers or they a seperatly counted?

Due to wearing regulations Navy daggers are most common one, than Land-Forces and AirForce daggers are the rarest ones.

best regards and thanks
Andreas

Re: Research on Soviet Dagger (Navy-, Land-, Airforce)

Hi Alfred,

Noticed your list of Landforce daggers.

FYI I picked up a 1955 dagger with the serial number NT3881. It's clearly a T rather than I or 1.

The dagger is landforces, however the bundled hangers were yellow and had anchors on the buttons.
