Greetings to ALL!

Just in case y'all didn't know, an Order of the Star 3rd class, version 1, just sold for a whopping price of $217.50 on e.... Better put your newly purchase order in the safety deposit box :thumbsup

Just in case the readers have never handle this order, it doubles as a chinese throwing star in the event you run out of ammo in a battle.

Hey that is a nice group. May I ask if the link that connects the star to the hanger is soldered together or not?

It is solid for the two Stars, not so for the Saur Revolution medal.

I have seen nicer groups, but with friends in Jalalabad and Kabul (whose groups they were).

I hope there are some left for me to find when I go back over there again....I didn't see much when I was there a few years ago.

Although the connecting link isn't an indication of a real McCoy, if the link is soldered together, more than likely, the medal/order is genuine. That is also true with the Soviet medals and orders from my observation.

If your friend in Kabul or Jalalabad, wants to part with some of their collection, please point them my way. Thanks.

Actually, they are THEIR medals, not their collections. They hope, someday, to be able to wear them again.

This group? No.

My friends' groups? One was willing to talk, in general detail, the other wasn't. It was, after all, May 2002 and there was some hesitancy in speaking about the "good old days". (Even after their first vodka in 17 years!)
