February Revolution in March
The February Revolution began on Feb 27 (old calendar) which would be March 12 new calendar.
TO be a day (or so depending upon exactly where you are) ahead, Attached is a scan of a lapel pin for the February revolution (Dated Feb 27 - old style - on the obverse). I can't get the rear to scan because of a pin. but it is marked on the pin so you could not read it anyway. But the revolution began as an "International Womens Day" march on March 8 (Feb 23 old style) for bread and peace. Are there any other March 8, International Womens' Day badges, or February Revolution (in March) badges that anyone may care to add? I have a Bulgarian "8 Marta" badge (Post Soviet) which I cannot find at the moment. (Maybe my wife took it!?) |

Possibly issued during 1917 but could have been in 1918 or so.
The badge is away right now and I have to look to see if the marks give a clue. Marked on the side of the pin. Its sort of like those regimental badges that also display Feb 27. |

Another bade with the slogan "Long Live Freedom" (Да Здравствует Свобода), this time from the Kuchkin factory, with the portrait of Alexander Kerensky on obverse.
