Parachutist Badges.

Can anyone shed any light on these badges and when they were in use?

The parachute instructor badge has the number "0065" on the back and the parachutist badge the number "17988".

I do not collect Czechoslovakian badges, but were given these by a ex-Colonel from the Polish Airborne Forces in 1989.

Thank you for any insights!

Parachute Instructor 1950s & Parachutists 1960s+

I was given these badges some years ago by a Polish airborne veteran. Both badges have serial numbers on the reverse. The instructor badge being an early one - "0065".

I would be interested to find out their current value?

Any insights appreciated!

Not sure about the earlier type instructor, but the later ones, although not too common, are not very expensive. There's currently an instructor badge of this later series offered on Czech auction site for 300KC' (~10USD unless I am mistaken)

Parachutist Badges

For the earlier (1950s) pattern of badge, I have seen the standard parachutist badge for sale on e-Bay at USD 199.99 .
For the later (1960s) pattern, I have seen a 3rd Class badge sold on a South African site for USD 35, although not sure if it had a serial number.
