Short description of personal combat feat or service

He has proven himself an active participant in fighting with the German invaders, having been wounded in fighting six times.
Having discovered a group of as many as 50 Hitlerites on 16.4.45 in fighting for Kallen Station, he and his eight-man squad surrounded this group and cutting the enemy off, then opened fire with submachineguns and grenades, killing three and taking the rest prisoner after the crossfire.
Prior to this on 14.4.45, having replaced the platoon leader accomplishing the mission, he captured an entire 105mm gun battery and its crews.

Ok, I am but a mere humble Kapusta but pls check my math on this one.

346th RR became the 155th Guards RR in the 52nd Guards RD. According to the Soviet Order of Battle book, the 52nd stormed the center of Berlin and the Reichstag. Does anyone know where Kallen Station was pls?

Norm, many units fought in Berlin, but I think the only units that really get credit for "storming" the Reichstag were in the 3 Shock Army's 79 Rifle Corps, most specifically the 150 RD which planted the Red Banner in the photo. The other units in that corps were the 171 and 207 RDs.

Maybe our German subscribers could help with Kallen Station.

It is very clear following the lead of the article I posted. The date matches, the front matches, etc. :)

Kallen Station was the stop of the railroad nearby the city named Kallen. Here is the list of names of Kallen (as most of the cities in that region it changed name so many times..) GOV :: Kallen
