Ladys and gentleman here it is the shiny OPW jubilee repro (not the umalatova, not the crappy chinese one) for your viewing pleasure:

WWII ORDER OF THE PATRIOTIC WAR 2ND CLASS SOVIET CCCP RUSSIAN BADGE -31943 | eBay

This is currently sold as reproduction. 24$.

I don't want to live on this planet anymore!
Yikes!! Man...

Kind of unrelated, but when I visited Russia in 2006 they had this huge poster up in St Petersburg for Victory Day. Cool concept, but it really bothered me they used a picture of the 1985 GPW-2 instead of a "real" one. I wonder how many people thought the same thing, probably quite a few actually.

You can get such sad creatures in New Delhi in quantity. The last time I asked, the price was Rs. 500 and that was too much for what it is. The jubilee OPWs with stomped/flattened screw-pin were Rs. 200 each.

Re: Ebay jokes

Well, at least it's original (except for the replaced enamel of course)... If this is that part your incomplete OPW1 was missing I can see someone bidding on it

I've seen those bits of 'harvested' OPW1s before along with starless Heroine orders.
At least they're being offerd to collectors who might give them a good home.

Not so much a joke, more like bizzare, but possible.

A very long time since I saw such crude cast fakes.
Enjoy

This seller's been selling (or at least trying to sell) overpriced (very) low end pieces like this for years - it's already covered earlier in the thread. Obviously doesn't work as a sales tactic.

Really honours those who made sacrifices and great efforts for the Soviet Union.

Fred

Going through this long and old thread I've found one of the very best quotes on the forum. If only folks would have listened 10+ years ago.

There certainly should be more "look at the amazing feats this person did!".
