Some of my guys had it on a high point overlooking our gate in case things got bad, but I never fired it. I carried a Sig P228 around everywhere I went, and had an M4 that I took out on motorcades and kept around should things go really bad. In the end, I only had to suffer through periodic mortar and rocket attacks, and once had an IED pop about 90 meters from me (I damn near had to clean my pants).
