Nice medal found the other day... Inspired by the Order of Lenin, this award is no lightweight piece!

For some reason, IMHO, the letters in the red banner looks clumsy. The letters on, for example, the Order of Red Banner, Order of Lenin etc., looks much better than these.

Well, the whole thing looks clumsy, like 21st century mass-produced junk as opposed to 19th century/early 20th century jewellers art. :(
One would think that with all the technological advancments we've seen after the industrial revolution we could get some better examples in phaleristics.
Aside from the boys at the "Baltic Mint" all we see today are examples that look like they've been made in China by workers whose daily wage and skill level are worth about 1€ per week.
