That is great! I've only seen one other document for that medal and have never seen one for sale.

Take care,

Marshal of aviation Koldunov

See the issuing authority and stamp: "Minister of defense of the CCCP", Unlike the previous document. That was a common practice, when higher officers got medals, even badges.

Any comment on this document and this medal ?

I bought them separately, but to the same reputable dealer in Germany.

Sorry pic seems not so good (I did my best regarding the size constraint of the file).

You will notice that there is no stamp but a written mention... Why ?

Can someone translate it ? What's is its purpose ?

Many thanks.

Last point : which Ministry issued it ?

Ch.

Christophe,

Where's the seal on the document?

Without the stamp a document can not be considered as issued one.

William,

I know... Exactly what I thought.
But, what do the hand-written words mean ?
Are they replacing the stamp ? Is this a specific case ?
I have been told by the dealer what they meant - as I made the remark - but can't remember...

The question is : why fill an unissued document, and forget to add a stamp (there are so many fake stamps available...).

All clues are welcome...

Thanks.

Ch.

curious...enamel and varnish on the writtings seem correct. Wait fo Alexei or Ed to have a better opinion...But the booklet is issued by the ministry of internal affairs, general of army N.Chtchelokov...Ernst Marterer, certainly NVA or Volkspolizei DDR general mayor (militia to militia?).
No stamp but printed mention...what is the source of this set?
