Kiwi,
Not usual, but it could, and did happen on occasions. Any chance of posting better pics of the various items, and especially of the booklet (including the first 2 pages). Marc |

I like what I see. In addition to the above I'd like to see the reverses of both Glories too.
Actually, the last "Combat Service Medal" stamp looks suspicious. Last edited by CtahhR; 07-13-2013 at 04:12 AM. |

Re: 2 order of glorys to same person
The CSM stamp is definitely bad. I've never seen a block style lettering of such a style and even worse, the word "medal" should grammatically be in the instrumental case, but it's in the nominative.
The first entry was supposedly done in 1948 when you compare the ink, yet all the other decorations (except the no # CSM) would have been awarded in 1944/1945. Finally, according to my data base the Glories would have been awarded by the 2UF, however the BM falls into a 1 Baltic/3Belorussian Front block. It's possible our enlisted hero in question jumped around that far between fronts, but highly unlikely. In any case, this set is messed with. |

And this why virtually all of my OMDs came from Nota Bene and Desantnik...too many landmines out there, which I can't always seem to spot :( |
